Rugby, cricket & Gaelic
Weekdays belong to the racecourse, weekends to the bat, the ball and the oval one, and punters who follow racing tend to follow these sports as well. This section covers the second group.
Cricket comes first, with its innings and match markets, then rugby union and league, where handicaps and winning margins dominate. Gaelic football, hurling and netball fill out the rest of the list.
Legally the map has an edge. The Gambling Act 2005 and a Gambling Commission licence reach England, Scotland and Wales only; Northern Ireland sits outside the Act, so a Great Britain licence says nothing about betting there, and that bears directly on the Gaelic games.
